Full Homorphic Encryption
Fully Homomorphic encryption (FHE) is a form of encryption that allows computations to be performed on encrypted data without first having to decrypt it. In simpler terms, it enables data to be manipulated and processed in its encrypted form, maintaining its confidentiality throughout the entire computation process.
FHE operates using mathematical concepts from algebraic geometry, number theory, and lattice-based cryptography. The basic idea behind FHE is to use mathematical structures that allow operations to be performed on encrypted data in a way that, when decrypted, produces the same result as if the operations were performed on the original unencrypted data.

Fluf ID is a step towards introducing confidentiality in on-chain identity. Our DID solutions will be able to store your personal data onchain in an encrypted manner and allow other dApps to interact with them.
Fluf ID enables composable encrypted state, which allows for usecases in KYC, authentication, access control and DeFI.
Example: Store the date of birth as encrypted metadata (in the form of time stamp). A casino checks if the encrypted date of birth is > 18 years old. With FHE this check (> 18) can be done without decrypting the metadata and thus ensuring onchain confidentiality while also unlocking verification of age.
Applications of FHE in identity
We envision Fluf ID as the private and confidential DID system, that can unlock many novel use cases in DAOs, RWA, identity, compliance and confidential defi.
